Coinciding with the 427th Birth Anniversary of Zhabdrung Namgyal on the 11th day of the 11th month according to the lunar calendar in 2021, the staff and management of the College of Natural Resources convened the 3 day long, 6th Midterm Review Workshop to enhance the delivery of quality services in teaching & learning.
The special occasion commenced with the offering of Marchang tendrel ceremony and award of national service medals for the staff and faculty recipients followed by declaring promotion recipients and awarding khadhar to those who have completed their long term professional development courses.
The workshop commenced after the special tea and snacks session hosted by the college management to mark the auspicious occasion. Review of the performance and status of the previous annual workshop was discussed, followed by the presentation on the roles and responsibilities of the office of the Dean Research & Industrial Linkages. The presentation high-lighted on the activities being successfully carried out since 1 July, 2021 till date, including performance of the research centres, Funds secured, research proposals submitted, publications and Memoranda of understanding being initiated for institutional collaboration.
In addition, the staff and faculty members were sensitized on the international Laisioning, project monitoring and implementation guidelines along with the University Zhibsol research policy. Some challenges and issues was also tabled for further discussion and the way forward of activities and commitments of the Deans’ office has been proposed thereof.
All the other presentations emphasized on sensitization of the roles and responsibilities of each departments and section units with updated university policies and guidelines. Most of the discussions was to streamline the system to cater to the delivery of quality services in teaching and learning.
The remaining days will continue with the presentation from respective departments and units to ensure quality, provide systematic services and strengthen the working environment within the institution of higher education and learning.
