Admission open for Self-finance Master’s in Development Practice for July 2026 Intake

College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan, is pleased to open the call for admission to two-years full-time Master’s in Development Practice (MDP) programme for the 2026 session through self-funding.

Admission criteria:

  • Have completed a Bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognised University.
  • Have secured a minimum of 50% in aggregate for honours graduates and 55% for general graduates.
  • Applicants who meet the minimum entry requirements will undergo a two-tier selection process that includes a written English proficiency test and an interview aimed at assessing the applicants’ ability to meet the demands of the programme.
  • The minimum mark to pass the proficiency test is 50%. Applicants passing the proficiency test will sit for an interview and must obtain a minimum average score of 60% to be accepted for admission.
  • International applicants will have to produce English proficiency test documents such as IELTS, TOEFL etc.

  1. Bachelor’s degree transcript and certificate from a recognised university
  2. A copy of the Citizenship Identity Card
  3. Security clearance certificate
  4. No Objection Certificate from employer (if employed)
  5. Audit clearance certificate (if employed)
  6. Passport (if international students)
  7. Scholarship award letter if sponsored by any agency

The above documents should be produced in original at the time of the admission exam.

Important deadlines:

  1. Application submission DEADLINE is on or before 21 May 2026.
  2. Document verification and shortlisting: 25 May 2026
  3. Written English proficiency test:  30 May 2026
  4. Viva voce: 5 June 2026
