Lateral Entry Admission for BSc. in Food Science and Technology

The College of Natural Resources is pleased to announce the lateral entry admissions for the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Science and Technology for the academic year 2026-2027.

Programme Details

  • Programme: Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology
  • Entry Point: Third Year Semester I
  • Available Slots: 7 (Seven)
  • Intake Session: July 2026

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a Diploma in Food Science and Technology with a minimum overall aggregate of 50%.

Required Documents

  1. Diploma certificate
  2. Diploma marksheet
  3. CID Copy
  4. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your organization, if currently employed

Selection Procedure

Applicants will be selected based on merit ranking, determined by an entrance examination consisting of the following three papers (English, General Knowledge, and Technical).

  1. Paper I – English (100 marks, 2 hours)

This paper will assess reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary proficiency necessary for successful completion of the degree.

  1. Paper II – General Knowledge (100 marks, 2 hours)

This paper will evaluate general and current knowledge related to Bhutan and global affairs.

  1. Paper III – Technical (100 marks, 2 hours)

This paper will be based on the Diploma curriculum of the College of Natural Resources.

Evaluation Criteria

  • The pass mark for each paper is 50%.
  • The final ranking will be calculated as follows:
    • 50% of entrance examination scores
    • 50% from the final aggregate score of the Diploma

  • Date: 7 February 2026
  • Venue: College of Natural Resources, Lobesa
