The College of Natural Resources is pleased to announce the availability of lateral entry (in-service) slots for the Bachelor of Science in Animal Science programme for the academic year 2026–2027.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a Diploma in Animal Science.
Selection Procedure
Applicants will be selected based on merit ranking, determined through an entrance examination consisting of the following three papers:
- Paper I – English (100 marks, 2 hours)
This paper will assess reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary proficiency necessary for successful completion of the degree.
- Paper II – General Knowledge (100 marks, 2 hours)
This paper will evaluate general and current knowledge related to Bhutan and global affairs.
- Paper III – Technical (100 marks, 2 hours)
This paper will be based on the Diploma curriculum of the College of Natural Resources. It will include, but not be limited to:
- Fundamentals of veterinary science (medicine, surgery, etc.)
- Animal science, including production aspects of major domestic animals in Bhutan
- Reproduction (genetics, gynecology, obstetrics, etc.)
Evaluation Criteria
- The pass mark for each paper is 50%.
- The final merit ranking will be calculated as follows:
- 50% from entrance examination scores
- 50% from the final aggregate score of the Diploma
- The maximum intake will not exceed 10 students.
