{"id":1975,"date":"2022-03-30T07:22:24","date_gmt":"2022-03-30T07:22:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cnr.edu.bt\/?p=1975"},"modified":"2022-03-30T07:27:17","modified_gmt":"2022-03-30T07:27:17","slug":"madanjeet-singh-scholarships-for-the-academic-year-2022-at-the-college-of-natural-resources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cnr.edu.bt\/?p=1975","title":{"rendered":"Madanjeet Singh Scholarships for the Academic Year 2022 at the College of Natural Resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UNESCO\u00a0Madanjeet\u00a0Center for South Asia Forestry Studies (UMCSAFS) at<strong> College of Natural Resources\u00a0<\/strong>(CNR), Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) in Lobesa, Punakha, Bhutan, is pleased to\u00a0announce\u00a0three Madanjeet\u00a0Singh scholarship for SAARC member countries (except Bhutan) for\u00a0two years<strong> Masters Programme<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>Natural Resources Management\u00a0<\/strong>to be undertaken from July 2022 to June 2024. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Applicants should fulfill the following criteria: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Have completed a BSc programme awarded by a recognized University in the field of forestry, environment and life sciences.<\/li>\n<li>Have secured a minimum of\u00a0<strong>55% in each subject<\/strong>and overall aggregate of\u00a0<strong>60%<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Be a registered citizen of the SAARC member countries<\/li>\n<li>Be fluent in English (both written and speaking)<\/li>\n<li>Produce English Language Proficiency Certificate from recognized\/competent institutions<\/li>\n<li>Be below 45 years of age<\/li>\n<li>Candidates applying for this scholarship should submit the application form and Research Proposal (mandatory) along with the required documents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>The scholarship will cover:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuition fees<\/li>\n<li>Economy air travel from the native country to Bhutan and back (initial and final)<\/li>\n<li>Monthly stipend of\u00a0<strong> 12000.00\u00a0<\/strong>(Twelve thousand) only<\/li>\n<li>Book and printing allowance of <strong> 5000.00<\/strong> (five thousand)only annually<\/li>\n<li>Initial establishment allowance of\u00a0<strong> 16,000.00<\/strong>(sixteen thousand) only<\/li>\n<li>One time research grant of Nu.50,000\/- (fifty thousand) only shall be eligible from first year second semester only<\/li>\n<li>In-country travel of Nu. 500.00 per day shall be eligible while on organized study travel and 50% if it exceeds a month)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application and Selection procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications shall be submitted to South Asia Foundation (SAF) country offices of each country in the SAARC region. Applications shall not be accepted directly from the candidates<\/li>\n<li>The SAF office of each country shall select <strong>one <\/strong>candidate based on the eligibility criteria mentioned herein<\/li>\n<li>The name of the selected candidate from each SAARC country with the relevant documents should be submitted to the office of the\u00a0Focal Person,<strong> College of Natural Resources\u00a0<\/strong>, Royal University of Bhutan Lobesa, Punakha, Bhutan by<strong> April 24, 2022 midnight <\/strong>through SAF offices in respective country for further scrutiny and acceptance into scholarship program<\/li>\n<li>The documents can be sent via e-mail to the focal person at bsuberi.cnr@rub.edu.bt \u00a0and <a href=\"mailto:pemakinley134@gmail.com\">pemakinley134@gmail.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The final assessment of the selected candidate shall be done jointly by a team of committee from the College of Natural Resources. There will be a skype interview with the candidates for the final selection.<\/li>\n<li>Based on the final assessment, the candidates may or may not be accepted into the program if respective SAF office failed to follow the set eligibility criteria.<\/li>\n<li>The CNR reserves the right of acceptance or rejection of candidates nominated by SAARC countries into the programme.<\/li>\n<li>The letter of acceptance or rejection into the scholarship program will be sent to respective SAF office for further conveyance to the individual candidate latest by\u00a0<strong>April 29, 2022\u00a0<\/strong>via e-mail or through telephone calls.<\/li>\n<li>All travel documents of the selected student should reach UMCSAFS office not later than\u00a0<strong>30<sup>th<\/sup> May, 2022\u00a0<\/strong>to process for travel and other necessary arrangements.
