The National Conference on Connecting Practitioners <\/i><\/em>and<\/i><\/em>\u00a0Researchers<\/i><\/em> \u00a0under the thematic areas of Climate Crisis, Natural Disaster, Environmental Sustainability, Agriculture and Food will be held at the College of Natural Resources from March 25-27, 2025. The conference is jointly organized by the Department of Academic and Research, Office of the Vice Chancellor and the Centre for Rural Development Studies, College of Natural Resources.<\/p>

This event will bring together\u00a0researchers from the Royal University of Bhutan, representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, farmers, scholars and intellectuals to present papers on critical\u00a0and emerging issues\u00a0related to the climate crisis, natural disasters, environmental sustainability, agriculture and food security.The primary goal of the conference is to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration by bringing together diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, scientists,\u00a0researchers, and practitioners in the fields of environmental sustainability, agriculture and food sectors. As challenges such as\u00a0climate change, urbanization\u00a0and demographic shifts become\u00a0increasingly complex, cross-sectoral and trans-disciplinary collaboration is more crucial than ever.<\/p>

To this end, the conference will provide a valuable platform for sharing current research and insights, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices. We hope to create an inclusive and stimulating environment, encouraging active participation and engagement throughout\u00a0the three-day program, and promoting \u00a0fruitful discussions that can contribute to impactful solutions.<\/p>

The objectives of the conference are to:<\/p>

  1. Share and disseminate cutting-edge research findings to a diverse and trans-disciplinary audience.<\/li>
  2. Strengthen collective capacity in developing and implementing evidence-based policies.<\/li>
  3. Foster meaningful connections and establish a groundwork for future collaborations between researchers and practitioners.<\/li><\/ol>

    The first two days of the conference will focus on research\u00a0paper\u00a0presentations, while the third day will feature a technical\u00a0session focused on\u00a0addressing\u00a0the emerging issues, particularly in waste management.<\/p>
