With the aim of inculcating students with good human behavior and attitude, it is one of the traditions in the college that a graduating student is selected as the best student by casting secret ballots by the members of the staff and students. As usual, this year the respective departments (Agriculture, Animal Science, Forestry and Sustainable Development) nominated their candidates with a given set of criteria. There were three shortlisted nominees in the final round: Mr. Pema Wangchuk, from the Department of Agriculture, Mr. Sangay Yeshey of Animal Science and Mr. Tshering  Gyeltshen of Forestry. Mr. Tshering Gyeltshen secured 73 votes, followed by Mr. Sangay Yeshey and Mr. Pema Wangchuk securing 55 and 23 votes respectively. Therefore, Mr. Tshering Gyeltshen is declared as the Best Student and the Deykith Longchey Laureate of 20th Batch Diploma students. The management, faculty and the rest of the students of the college would like to congratulate him on his achievement.
This endowment fund, dedicated for the Diploma Programme, was generously contributed by Ms. Sonasuelas Rudas, from Italy, the former WFP Representative to Bhutan. We would like to in earnest acknowledge her generosity.
