The Royal University of Bhutan wishes to have a common academic year across the member institutes / colleges. Although the University recommends scheduling a minimum of 15 weeks for actual teaching and learning per semester, it is recommended to schedule for 17 weeks in case of CNR since the professional diploma programs in different natural resources areas require additional guided learning to impart both knowledge and skills. The academic semester calendar for CNR has therefore 17 weeks of actual teaching and learning excluding semester planning, examination and evaluation, and result preparation weeks from the beginning of year 2005.

School time

The school session will operate from Monday through Friday. Each day will have six sessions for learning, teaching and assessment. Saturday will be non-school session engaged for maintenance of the campus.

There will be assembly  every Monday during which students will deliver talks and the management will make announcements.

Social Work

CNR trainees will contribute 2 – 3 hours per week for maintenance of school campus as scheduled on Wednesday and Saturday.
