Admission to: BSc Forestry (In-service) programme, BSc Agriculture (In-service) programme, BSc Animal Science (In-service) programme

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates must have a class X pass + minimum 2 years Diploma in Agriculture/Animal Husbandry/ Forestry with overall aggregate of 50 % and above. Each cohort of intake will consist of 3 batches of Diploma graduates. The First cohort of intake will include the non- CNR Diploma holders and the first two batches of CNR Diploma graduates.  

Selection criteria 

Selection will be based on combined aggregate of Academic performance in the Diploma Programme, performance in the Entrance Examination, Performance rating ( 3 consecutive years) with the weight of 20%, 60%, & 20% respectively.  The candidates securing 50% and above combined aggregate will be ranked and the top twenty will be selected. Those who obtain 50 % and above but are not selected in the first cohort will be eligible to reappear for the entrance exam only once with the next cohorts. Those that secure less than 50 % in the first attempt will not be eligible for any more examinations.  In addition to these criteria, Candidates have to also fulfill all the requirements of the Royal Civil service rules and regulations pertaining to In-service training. 

The selection will be conducted by a committee comprising of representatives from the RCSC, MoA( HRMD), OVC and CNR.

Registration 

Eligible and interested Candidates are required to register for selection. The registration form can be downloaded from the CNR website ( www.cnr.edu.bt ). The duly filled form could be submitted in person or through email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Registration is open from 20th September to 4th October, 2009. Registration beyond the last date will not be accepted.

 

Documents can be submitted at the time of coming for the Entrance Examination.

 Entrance examination 

The Entrance examination will be conducted from 3rd to 5th of November, 2009 and will consist of three papers, namely, English Language, General knowledge and general science and Technical paper. The pass mark for all papers is 50 % and candidates have to pass all the papers to be eligible for selection. Failing to secure the pass mark in any of the three papers will be considered as failed.

The question papers will be moderated by the PBE and the answer sheet will be double marked by CNR and individuals from relevant agencies identified by the CNR.  

Candidates will report to the College on 2nd November,2009.

 

Document to be submitted 

Applicants have to submit the following documents at the time of coming for the Entrance examination. Those that fail to do so will not be allowed to appear for the entrance examination.

1.      Diploma certificate( original)

2.      Diploma Transcript/Marksheet ( original)

3.      Performance rating ( 3 consecutive years)

4.      1Photocopy of Citizenship ID card

5.      2 passport sized photographs

6.      Registration fee of Nu.500
